I want to share the brand new spring collection for Chloe + Isabel. The Morningtide Spring Capsule Collection. These nautical pieces were inspired by the shapes, textures + tones you might come across in a sunrise walk by the shore. … Continue reading

Sunday Style: Flats on Flats on Flats

Flats on Flats
1. Lulu*s// 2. Modcloth// 3. Zara// 4. Bloomingdale’s// 5. Aldo//
6. Accessorize// 7. Nasty Gal//8. Piperlime// 9. Modcloth// 10. Aldo//

Who doesn’t love flats? They are practical, almost always comfortable, are easier to walk in than heels and are perfect for the workplace. I always wear flats to work, mostly because I don’t really have work appropriate heels but also because I would probably be the only one wearing heels at work. And I don’t really want that. hehe. So I have put together 13 pairs that I’d love to share with everyone. I honestly don’t know which pair I like the most because I think they are all fantastic.

Which pair is your favorite? And do you prefer flats to heels in the workplace or the opposite? Please share with me!

Sunday Style: The Shift Dress

I am obsessed with the shift dress. It’s pretty versatile, wear it belted for a more fitted look or leave it undone for a more conservative look. Either way it looks great on anyone. The shift dress is perfect for work or a night out. Keep it simple with light jewelery and flats or dress it up a bit more with a statement necklace and heels.

Being that I am a college student on a budget, I try to make my Sunday Styles affordable finds, therefore, each of these dresses is under $50.00 with the exception of one dress, the Chaya Colorblock dress, which is still under $100.00.

My personal favorite dresses here are the Creme Bead Pattern Cut Out and the Butterfly Twiggy Dress. I have also found the perfect pattern to sew a shift dress and I hope to get to do that sometime soon. I will definitely share with everyone if and when I do that.

If you have a favorite shift dress please do share! I love to hear other thoughts.

Sunday Style: The Luck of the Irish

The Luck of the irish

If you don’t know what today is then you probably live under a rock. That being said, today is what may be the biggest drinking holiday of the entire year. And if you’re not wearing green you will most likely get pinched.

On that note, I wanted to get festive with this Sunday Style post and stay with the holiday theme. In some parts of the country (or the world) it is definitely still cold out. In places like Tallahassee, FL. it is warming up to shorts weather but still a bit cool. Here are two great outfits for the cold or warmth, with accessories to wear with both.

Boyfriend jeans and a stripe shirt look classic but still fun with all of the accessories. With this outfit I would definitely subtract one of the jewelery pieces, you don’t want too much going on. A good cross-body bag is perfect for a day of drinking, no need to worry about if you set it down or if you’ll remember to pick it back up, it’s around your body the whole time. For the warmer weather, jean shorts and a long-sleeve billowy top is perfect. Throw on a good pair of sandals to keep it casual.

How do you celebrate St. Patrick’s day, if at all? What are you wearing to show your Irish side (whether you’re actually Irish or not)? Please share with me. I am always intrigued by other outfit choices for holidays.
